Awards & Scholarships

MSBA FutureBuilders currently provides awards and recognition to both public high school students and to school board members who are active in their communities. The John T. Belcher Memorial Scholarship is award to seventeen high school seniors each year, representing each of MSBA’s seventeen regions.

In 2009, FutureBuilders established the Paul Morris Community Service Award in memory of MSBA President Paul Morris who passed away in February of 2009 while serving in office. The award recognizes a past or current school board member who also provide leadership to their communities.
